E-commerce Integration

BakeOnyx + Shopify

Your Shopify orders flow straight into BakeOnyx — production schedule, inventory, customers, and reports — without copying anything by hand.

Available on the Growth plan and above.

What It Does

Orders Import Automatically

The moment a customer checks out on Shopify, the order appears in BakeOnyx with a Shopify badge — and rolls straight into your production schedule and inventory deductions, just like any other order.

Customers, Unified

Each Shopify shopper becomes a BakeOnyx customer — matched to an existing record by email, or created new. One customer history across your storefront, counter, and custom orders.

Payments & Status in Sync

Paid orders show as paid, cancellations are reflected, and refunds are recorded — so your numbers stay accurate without you touching two systems.

One Source of Truth

Online revenue lands in the same reports as the rest of your bakery. See channel mix, top products, and customer value across Shopify and everything else in one place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does BakeOnyx change anything in my Shopify store?+

No. The integration is read-only in v1 — BakeOnyx reads your Shopify orders but never changes products, inventory, or fulfillment in Shopify. One thing to note: marking an order delivered in BakeOnyx does not update fulfillment in Shopify yet, so for now you mark orders fulfilled in both places.

What actually syncs from Shopify?+

New orders appear in BakeOnyx automatically the moment they are placed, with a Shopify badge. The shopper becomes a BakeOnyx customer (matched by email or created new), line items become order items, and tax, discount, and shipping map onto the order. A paid order records a payment, a cancellation marks the order cancelled, and refunds are recorded too.

Will it import my past Shopify orders?+

No — the integration ingests orders going forward from the moment you connect. Historical orders placed before connecting are not back-filled in v1.

Which plan do I need?+

The Shopify integration is available on the Growth plan and above. You connect it yourself from Settings → Shopify; only the bakery owner or a manager can connect or disconnect.

Will this double up my accounting if I already sync Shopify to QuickBooks?+

No. By default, Shopify orders do not create a BakeOnyx invoice or push to QuickBooks/Xero — most Shopify stores already have their own accounting app, and double-syncing would create duplicate invoices. If you want BakeOnyx to handle accounting for Shopify orders instead, there is a per-connection toggle to opt in.

What happens if I disconnect?+

Disconnecting stops new orders from importing but keeps every order and customer already imported. You can reconnect the same store later without re-importing.
