Your 10-Minute Morning Routine

Most bakers start their day overwhelmed — orders on paper, production from memory, deliveries on sticky notes. Here's how BakeOnyx replaces all of that in 10 minutes.

Step 1: Check Your Dashboard (1 minute)

Open BakeOnyx. Your Dashboard shows:

  • This Week's Orders — everything due in the next 7 days
  • Scheduled Payments — upcoming payment milestones
  • AI Suggestions — any agent recommendations waiting for your approval

Quick glance: is anything urgent? Any overdue payments? Any AI alerts?

Step 2: Review Today's Orders (2 minutes)

Go to Orders and filter by today's date. You'll see exactly what needs to go out today. Check:

  • Is anything still "Pending" that should be "Confirmed"?
  • Any last-minute changes or special instructions?
  • Which orders are already "In Progress" from yesterday's prep?

Step 3: Production Plan (3 minutes)

Go to Production. If you use the AI scheduler, click "Generate Schedule" for today. The AI creates an ordered task list — what to bake first, at what temperature, with which equipment.

Print job sheets for your team if needed — each task includes the full recipe.

Step 4: Check Inventory (2 minutes)

Go to Ingredients and filter by "Low Stock". Anything critical you need to order today? If you have Inventory Predictions enabled, check what AI suggests for reordering.

Step 5: Deliveries (2 minutes)

If you deliver, check the Delivery board. See who needs what, where, and when. Plan your route.

Shortcut — Ask Bake Buddy instead: Instead of navigating through 5 screens, just open Bake Buddy and type: "What do I have due today?" You'll get an instant summary of orders, production tasks, and anything needing attention.

Throughout the Day

  • As you bake: Mark production tasks complete, log any waste
  • As payments come in: Record them on the order detail page
  • As new orders arrive: Create them from the Orders page or let customers order through your online store
  • End of day: Quick check on tomorrow's orders so you know what to prep
