Copy a Day or Week of Orders
Repeat last Tuesday or last week for your wholesale customers — or one customer — and change quantities before the orders are made.
Copy a Day or Week of Orders
Many wholesale customers order almost the same thing every week. You do not have to type the orders again. Copy a day or a week, change what is different, and create the new orders in one step.
Copy one order
Open the order and click Duplicate. A new order opens with the same customer and items at today's prices. Pick a due date, change what you need, and save.
Copy a day or a week
- On the Orders page, click Copy Day / Week. To copy for one customer only, open the customer and click Copy orders.
- Choose One day or A whole week. A week runs Monday to Sunday, and each order keeps its weekday — Friday orders go to Friday.
- Pick the date to copy from and the new date.
- Under Customers, choose All wholesale customers, All customers, or search for one customer.
- Click Show orders. Untick orders you do not want and change quantities. Set a quantity to 0 to leave an item out.
- Read the summary, for example "Creates 5 new orders on Tue 28 Oct", and click Create.
What the copy does not change
- Existing orders do not change. The copy only adds new orders.
- Standing orders are not copied. An order made by an active standing order shows greyed out with "Made by active standing order". The standing order makes its own next order, so a copy would give the customer two. Orders from a paused, cancelled or ended standing order copy like any other order.
- No emails go to customers, unless you turn on Notify customers.
- Prices come from your current price list (customer prices and volume breaks). A changed price shows the old price crossed out.
Orders that start unticked
BakeOnyx unticks an order when the copy could double up a customer's day:
- The customer already has an order on the new date.
- An active standing order of that customer will deliver on the new date. The copy would be an extra order. Tick it only if the customer wants extra. (Closed days are not counted — the standing order makes nothing on a blocked date.)
Changed your mind? Cancel the new orders
After you click Create, click Cancel these new orders and confirm. The new orders are set to Cancelled (not deleted), and customers are not emailed. An order is kept if it was already paid, invoiced, moved past Confirmed, or made more than a day ago — cancel those from the order page.
Invoices
New orders follow your auto-invoice setting. Wholesale customers on weekly or monthly billing are invoiced when the billing cycle closes, as usual.
