Baker's Summary: One Page for the Day
- See every item to bake for one day on one page
- See how many of each item every customer ordered
- Get totals per item and per customer, with weights
- Print it, or download it as a PDF or CSV
Open the Baker's Summary
- Go to Production.
- Click Baker's Summary at the top right.
- Choose the day. Use the arrows to go to the previous or next day, or click Today.
The summary shows orders that are due on that day. Cancelled and draft orders are not included.
Read the Summary
- Rows are the items to bake. Items with different options (for example, size or filling) have their own rows.
- Columns are your customers. Each cell shows how many of that item the customer ordered.
- The Total column shows the total for each item.
- The Total row at the bottom shows the total for each customer.
- Customer totals below the table shows the units, weight and number of orders for each customer.
On a phone, each item shows as a card with its total and one chip for each customer.
Weights
The Each column shows the weight of one unit. BakeOnyx uses the variant weight, or the product's Net weight. The Weight column shows the quantity × the weight of one unit.
If an item has no weight, it shows a dash, and a note under the table tells you how many units are not in the weight totals. To fix this, open the product and set its net weight (or set a weight on the variant).
Choose the Fields
Owners and managers can choose which columns show. Click Fields and turn on or off:
- Customer columns — one column for each customer
- Weight per item and Total weight
- Retail price — the current list price of one unit
- Order value — quantity × the price charged on each order
- Cost — quantity × the product cost
- Notes — item notes, order notes and the customer's note from your online shop
Your choice is saved for everyone at the bakery. Prices and order values show only to team members who can see financial figures. Cost shows only to owners and managers.
Unpaid Online Orders
If you connect a WooCommerce shop, orders that are not paid yet (pending, on hold or failed in your shop) are included in the summary, but they are marked unpaid online. A note under the table tells you how many units come from these orders. An order on hold can be a bank transfer that is not paid yet, so check these orders before you bake.
Print or Export
- Print / PDF opens a landscape PDF that you can print. If you have a very large number of customers, the PDF shows a customer list for each item instead of one column for each customer.
- CSV downloads the same numbers for a spreadsheet.
Tips
- Print the summary at the start of the day so the baker knows what to make and who it is for.
- Use Bake by Time (Reports) when you need the order of the bakes by pickup or delivery time.
