Set Your Store Language (Serve Customers in Their Language)

Set your store language in Settings → General and BakeOnyx shows your storefront, customer emails, and documents in your customer's language — 7 languages, including right-to-left Arabic.

Set Your Store Language

BakeOnyx can show everything your customers see in their own language. Set it once in Settings → General → Store language.

7 languages are supported: English (English), Spanish (Español), French (Français), Lithuanian (Lietuvių), Portuguese (Português), German (Deutsch), Arabic (العربية).

What gets translated

The store language changes your customer-facing surfaces:

  • Your public inquiry form.
  • Your online storefront — catalog, cart, checkout, customer account, and the storefront AI chat.
  • The order status labels your customers see.
  • Your customer documents — invoice, quote, receipt, delivery note, and allergen label PDFs.
  • Your customer emails — order confirmation, receipt, invoice, and quote.

What stays in English

Your staff dashboard — the screens you and your team work in every day — stays in English by design. The store-language setting only affects what your customers see.

English is the default

Nothing changes until you pick a language, so your bakery stays in English until you opt in.

Arabic and right-to-left

Choosing Arabic (العربية) automatically switches your customer-facing pages and documents to a right-to-left layout.

How to set it

  1. Go to Settings → General.
  2. In the Localization card, open the Store language selector.
  3. Pick your language. It saves immediately.
  4. The same card also sets your date format and week-start day, which pair with your language choice.
  5. Open your storefront or send yourself a test quote to confirm it reads well.

Only the owner or a manager can change business settings. Available on all plans.
