Connect Your WooCommerce Store
Pull your WooCommerce (WordPress) orders, customers, and revenue into BakeOnyx automatically, so you production-plan, track customers, and report from one place.
Connect Your WooCommerce Store
If you sell online with a WooCommerce (WordPress) storefront, this integration brings those orders into BakeOnyx automatically — so you stop copying online orders by hand and get one source of truth for orders, customers, and revenue. Imported orders roll straight into your production schedule, inventory, and reports.
Availability: Growth plan and above. You need to be the bakery owner or a manager to connect or disconnect.
How WooCommerce is different
WooCommerce is a plugin on your own WordPress site, not a hosted platform like Shopify. That changes how you connect:
- You connect by typing your store web address (for example
https://yourbakery.com), not a platform username. - You approve access on your own WordPress admin screen — there are no API keys to copy and paste.
- BakeOnyx also checks for new orders every 15 minutes as a safety net, because self-hosted sites occasionally miss a live notification.
Before you connect
Make sure your WordPress site is ready, or the connection will not complete:
- The WooCommerce plugin is installed and active on your site.
- Your site runs on HTTPS.
- Your WordPress permalinks are not set to "Plain" (WordPress → Settings → Permalinks — choose any other option and save). The connection cannot work under Plain permalinks.
What this does (and doesn't do) in this version
The WooCommerce connection is read-only: BakeOnyx reads orders from WooCommerce but never changes anything in your store.
- Important: marking an order as delivered in BakeOnyx does not update the order status in WooCommerce. For now, mark orders fulfilled in both places.
- One WooCommerce store per bakery.
- By default, only orders placed after you connect are imported — but you can run a one-off Import last N days (up to 90) to backfill recent orders.
- No product or inventory push back to WooCommerce.
How to connect
- Go to Settings → WooCommerce.
- Type your store web address, for example
https://yourbakery.com. - Click Connect WooCommerce. You're sent to your own WordPress admin to approve read-only access.
- Approve the request on WordPress. You're returned to BakeOnyx and the store shows as Connected.
- Place a test order in WooCommerce and confirm it appears in BakeOnyx within a minute (within 15 minutes at the latest).
What syncs automatically
- Orders — new WooCommerce orders appear shortly after they're placed, with a WooCommerce badge on your order list.
- Customers — the shopper becomes a BakeOnyx customer, matched to an existing one by email or created new (tagged as coming from WooCommerce). Guest checkouts are handled too.
- Line items — become order items, matched to your products by SKU where possible. Items that don't match come in as free text you can reconcile later.
- Totals — tax, discount, and shipping map onto the order.
- Payments — a paid order (processing or completed) records a payment so the order shows as paid; cancellations mark the order cancelled, and refunds are recorded against it.
Currency
Your WooCommerce store currency must match your bakery's currency. An order in a different currency is flagged for review rather than silently converted, so your numbers stay accurate.
Accounting (QuickBooks / Xero)
By default, WooCommerce orders do not create a BakeOnyx invoice or push to your accounting software — many WooCommerce stores already run their own accounting plugin, and double-syncing would create duplicate invoices. If you'd rather BakeOnyx handle accounting for your WooCommerce orders, there's a per-connection toggle to opt in.
Monitoring the connection
The WooCommerce settings page shows the connection's health: a 24-hour delivery rate, the time of the last update received, and any recent errors. Below that, the Sync History lists every order event with its result — success, skipped (already imported), or failed. If live updates ever pause, the 15-minute check keeps importing in the background.
Disconnecting
Disconnecting removes BakeOnyx's connection from your store and stops new orders from importing, but keeps every order and customer already imported. You can reconnect the same store later.
